Taipei Metro Beitou Depot

4 MW Commercial Solar Farm

During the construction of the Taipei MRT System, the Taipei City Department of Rapid Transit Systems (DORTS) established a training and activity center at the Beitou Depot for the purpose of training MRT personnel.

After the completion of the Tamsui Line, the responsibility for maintaining and managing the center was transferred to the Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation (TRTC) for employee education and training.

Beitou Depot is the largest maintenance depot in the country, featuring a 20,000 square meter rooftop designated for PV module installation. The facility officially began operations in August 2018 and has provided power to over 1,752 families annually.

Given Beitou Depot's status as one of Taiwan's famous tourist spots, the management team aims to showcase real-time solar PV production and detailed data in the lobby for educational purposes. Utilizing the Photon monitoring system and a custom-made KIOSK TV box, users can access beautiful dashboards without the need to log in to the system or launch a browser. All attributes can be adjusted according to the management team's requirements.
